Description
Dover Precision Components is hiring a Supply Chain Manager for our Cook Compression brand, located at our Pearland, TX facility.
The Supply Chain Manager provides results-driven leadership with a focus on best practices, quality, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will manage all aspects of material flow, including maintaining inventory control and accuracy, and developing and managing supplier relationships.
You will provide coaching and manage a team of planners, buyers, and a logistics supervisor.We offer competitive pay and benefits and the ability to be a key Supply Chain leader. Leverage metrics and other tools to drive departmental performance.
Ensure the team is fully trained and follows the safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain, including use of forklifts.
Establish and implement methods and best practices that support inventory forecasting, procurement, and material control.Implement and manage an inventory control system that provides reporting capabilities, minimizes overall inventory value, and ensures accuracy of cycle counts.
Manage overall logistical plan for the site while coordinating with the shipping supervisor.Planning
Implement, manage, and improve a cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, raw materials, and associated cost elements.
Analyze customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute accurate production plans.Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand.
Address issues with the production plan by removing roadblocks for team members by coordinating with quality, engineering, and production operations to ensure on-time delivery targets.
Buying
Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Establish, implement, and manage a system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, material management or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing supply chain.
~ Experience in Lean, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, or similar environment.
~ Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
~ Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
