Description

We're a 75-year old, family-owned company passionate about our mission of Impacting Lives through Exceptional Service.

To operate a tractor trailer to deliver products to customers and provide excellent customer service at the time of delivery.

Drive the truck to the designated stop and make deliveries to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Check the invoice for refrigerated items and if necessary, climb into the front compartment of the trailer to retrieve these items for delivery.
Loads any damaged or returned items back into the truck for return to the warehouse.
Deliveries require extensive paperwork including driver logs.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and report to work on time for dispatch.
Must have a home telephone and be available for unscheduled duty.
Must be willing to be gone from home overnight and possibly two or three nights a week.
Immediately report all vehicle accidents and personal injuries.

Prefer two (2) years safe driving experience or completion of the GSC Driver Trainee program.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units or measure, using whole numbers.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, License, Registration:

Valid Texas Class A - CDL License

Computer Skills:

Must live within a 30-mile radius of the distribution center and have a home telephone.
