    Summary

    This role focuses on supporting component and new member engagement operations. As part of the Member Engagement team, you will contribute to implementing initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and activities within the Member Engagement department. Your role will involve bolstering departmental contributions to the member engagement strategy and supporting various appointed and volunteer groups within APTA. You'll also play a key role in ensuring compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and embodying the Association's vision and mission.

    Essential Functions

    • Contribute to the implementation of membership growth and retention strategies for APTA.
    • Develop and execute strategies to deliver top-notch member experiences encompassing programming, communications, and engagement opportunities.
    • Identify opportunities that enhance the value proposition of membership in alignment with the overarching strategy.
    • Support activities related to new member onboarding, renewal, and recruitment in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to create content, tools, and resources for components to aid in external member initiatives.
    • Lead the deployment and enhancement of communication platforms across various channels to boost engagement and facilitate feedback.
    • Execute work plans that correspond to Member Engagement department activities aligning with organizational priorities and membership strategy.
    • Ensure departmental performance meets expectations and metrics as per the budget.
    • Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement in department activities, including supporting the unit leader in assessing annual activities.
    • Assist the Member Experience team in executing the Association's programs, priorities, and projects in collaboration with the department director and colleagues.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree preferred, or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years' experience in membership strategy and development
    • CAE certification preferred
    • Project management skills are advantageous
    • Proficiency in database management
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Effective interpersonal skills
