- Sets negotiation terms for the procurement of IT goods, services, and supplies.
- Establish sourcing goals and acceptable service levels.
- Leads the negotiation of terms and conditions with limited Legal support.
- Utilizes sourcing best practices to lead initiative and project teams efficiently and effectively.
- Assist stakeholders in scope of work development
- Negotiates and administers contracts with IT suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
- Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
- Evaluates vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
- Identifies and conducts research on suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.
- Effectively communicates with and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders, challenging stakeholders when inefficiencies, process deviations, and strategy deviations are identified and working together to drive optimal business results
- Monitors supplier performance and contract activity, using data and supplier collaboration to find areas for improved cost savings and best-in-class supplier performance.
- Bachelor's Degree from a premier institute is a must, MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience in the energy industry; experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred OR
- An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Strong sourcing knowledge within Information Technology function; strong knowledge of on premise, cloud technology etc.
- Ability to work independently and in a global environment with global stakeholders across multiple countries.
- Strategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and achieve best-in-class results
- Knowledge and exposure to Indirect categories, cost reduction, sourcing, best practice RFQ's, negotiation process thereby guiding team to drive best outcomes for Carrier.
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Coupa highly preferred
- Should have worked directly in analyzing Total Cost of Ownership of IT applications and services
- Should have experience driving initiatives for indirect categories to enable productivity.
- Ability to think through and independently define priorities for team Periodic engagement with stakeholders to define strategy, align on strategy, adapt strategy based on changing business needs and stakeholders' expectations.
