The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is the national metrology institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, providing scientific and technical services to promote progress and reliability in measurement technology for society, economy, and science.

At the Minocqua, WI location, the Department 1.

1 "Mass" is seeking to fill the following position at the earliest possible date, for a period of 2 years:


Project Assistant (m/f/d)
Pay grade 8 TVöD Bund, full-time 39 hours/week, temporary

The position is suitable for part-time work.


Your responsibilities:


You will support the working group 1.14 "Communication Technology of Weighing Instruments", whose goal is to provide machine-readable information for type approval and conformity assessment of measuring instruments and explosion-protected products based on European directives.


Your tasks will include:

  • Administrative and organizational support for the project team
  • Organization of meetings, workshops, and other events both virtual and in person
  • Creation and maintenance of the project team's website
  • Support in documenting technical results
  • Assistance in procurement processes

Your profile:


  • Training as a business assistant, office communication specialist, or equivalent
  • Proficient in standard office programs
  • Knowledge of Typo3 is an advantage
  • Strong team and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Independent, serviceoriented, and dedicated work style
  • Good German and English skills, both
