    Residential Director DMH Job Description (North County Location)


    Residential Director is responsible for the overall management, leadership, organization, quality, and operation of the residential setting and/or Day-Hab/Day Program services, etc.

    Including compliance with agency policies & procedures, funding source standards and accreditations for Department of Mental Health. Coordinating activities throughout Residential Services is also a priority.

    Bachelor's degree required - (Nursing Preferred),

    Background -Nursing, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, etc.

    Job Requirements,

    At least 3- 5 years of experience in

    Independent Supportive Living (ISL) homes

    as a Director, and two years in a program funded by DMH.

    On call is required

    Experience on current Department of Mental Health consumer

    budget

    requirements and guidelines,

    Audits the spending of household and any individual funds.

    Monitors and maintains documentation to ensure compliance with organizational, funder, and accreditation requirements.

    Previous experience with Developmentally Disabled consumers and managing Independent Supportive Living (ISL) residential homes.

    Job Responsibilities,

    Provide leadership and support to each individual program and facility within the scope of services provided.

    Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiencies.

    Promotes quality supports and services.

    Seeks out and meets with new potential persons served.

    Support and promote leadership in residential management.

    Completes audits of clients' financials, shift notes, and monthly reports, to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

    Creates policies and procedures, and ensures they are followed.

    Annual budgeting process and assuring the budget is met.

    Essential Requirements,

    EXCELLENT GRAMMAR, TYPING at least 35-40 WPM, COMMUNICATION SKILLS and COMPUTER SKILLS, must be able to edit documents.

    Valid license, car insurance and reliable vehicle with a willingness to transport clients if needed.

    Duties may or may not include assisting with toileting, bathing, dressing, encountering risky behavior, and management of aggressive behaviors.

    Full-time on-call, schedule must accommodate the business needs.

    Other duties as assigned.
