    Department: Accounting and Finance

    Reports to: Accounting Manager

    Supervises: None

    Summary:

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of accounting areas of payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and the general accounting duties and as it relates to the operation.

    Organizational Competencies:

    1. Financial Management - Plans and monitors the use of expenditures to meet organizational objectives an compliance; prepares budge documents and reports.
    2. Fiscal Accountability - Follows fiscal guidelines, regulations, principles, and standards when committing fiscal resources or processing financial transactions.
    3. Strategic Analysis - Uses a variety of information sources internal and external to a client or the organization to identify issues and trends; studies financial, economic, and technical information to identify ways to achieve long-range goals or meet the vision of the organization.
    4. Analytical Thinking - The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.

    Job Specific Competencies:

    1. Accounting
    2. Provides procedures and internal controls necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
    3. Issue timely and complete financial support upon review and analysis various departmental financial position, and issues periodic reports to respective departments.
    4. Analyzes and directs periodic physical inventories together with other statistical and routine reports and evaluation.
    5. Collaboration
    6. Coordinates and adheres to policies, procedures, relationships and activities within the organization's financial position, and issues periodic reports to respective departments.
    7. Participates in and helps the preparation for external audits and tax requirements.
    8. Legal Compliance
    9. Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
    10. Ensure ISO procedures are followed
    11. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

    Minimum Qualifications and Education

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
    • Strong Mathematical and analytical skills
    • Good control of verbal and written English
    • Ability to apply logical reasoning
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

    Working Conditions

    1. Movement - This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on the production floor. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    2. Operate/Use - Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator).
    3. Ascend/Descend - Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files.
    4. Communicate - This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
    5. Work Environment - Office environment.
    6. Travel - Occasional travel, with overnight stays, may be required.
