What You'll Do:


Your Accountabilities in the Role:


  • Provides leadership, direction, and management of the accounting team with two direct reports
  • Establish and develop relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive management team
  • Oversee the accounting operations of the company including the monthly accounting close, financial reporting, A/P & A/R functions, monthly account reconciliations, fixed assets, internal controls, and cost analysis
  • Manage the process for financial forecasting, variance, and cash flow analyses
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Advise on longterm business and financial planning
  • Lead annual budget process
  • Ensures strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls
  • Ownership of the internal audit of accounting procedures
  • Oversee the company's annual external auditing and taxation processes and filings
  • Identify and advise on opportunities to improve corporate governance, cost controls, processes and KPIs

Position Requirements:


  • Education: 4year degree in accounting
  • Experience: SAP expertise required. Big 4 experience preferred. 7+ years of experience with progressive leadership experience. Audit management experience required, experience with 3rd party tax, audit, and accounting firms
  • Certification: CPA certification
  • Functional Skills: Exposure in a multinational firm and working within a multicurrency environment (USD$, CAD$, Euro) Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills
Experience building and leading a high functioning team

  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Expertise with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Teamoriented with a positive attitude. Professional integrity and ethical judgement, while being confident, yet humble. Ability to foster a cooperative and collaborative environment. Active listener. Proactive, polite, and assertive in their approach to driving results. Leader that has strong interpersonal skills that can balance the demands of the position
