    Position Description :

    This AFLCMC/HIS Subject Matter Expert position on the Stock Control System (SCS) is responsible for supporting the process of migrating several mainframe-based systems to the Cloud. This position is also responsible for coordinating and tracking changes to the General Ledger Accounts used in the D035J (FIABS) system. This will involve extensive communication with interfacing systems/organizations i.e. FMS, SMAS, SAMIS, DFAS, and DLA.

    This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active NACI clearance.

    This position will be a working on a 13-person team will report to SCS Serco Team Lead. This is a hybrid position.

    In this role, you will:

    • Interact with the Stock Control System (SCS) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the support contractor to assist them with the migration of the Stock Control System from the current mainframe environment to the Cloud.
    • Interact with the Stock Control System (SCS) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the support contractor assisting them with keeping the D035J (FIABS) system in compliance with the current and proposed changes to the General Ledger Accounts.
    • Interact with the Stock Control System (SCS) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the support contractor in the testing of the migrated software to verify that the conversion from mainframe code to JAVA has been successful.
    • Interact with Stock Control System (SCS) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the support contractor to assist them with keeping the Stock Control System in compliance with the current and proposed changes to implement DLMS transactions. Additional information about DLMS can be viewed at
    • Perform as the central point of contact for audits conducted by the AFAA and the Independent Public Auditor (IPA) for DISA billing review and verification. This requires knowledge of the technical operations and structure of SCS, specifically FIABS.
    • Assist in the development of training materials to be used for training the multitude of users of the SCS modules once the newly developed software has been totally delivered to the SCS program office.
    • Create Government Cost Estimates (GCEs) for Computer Requirements (CRs) submitted by various parties that require modifications to the SCS processes.
    • Perform Technical Evaluations of Engineering Cost Proposals from the support contractor.
    • Establish and maintain key points of contact with the various interfacing system representatives.
    • Attending various meetings and conferences as required to accomplish the above tasks and as directed by the Program Managers.
    • Additional duties include responding to Program Manager requests for analysis of system transactions and processing rejects.
    Qualifications:

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • A U.S. citizenship
    • An active NACI clearance
    • High School Diploma
    • Cloud migration process knowledge and 3-5 years of practical experience
    • Working knowledge of AF logistics systems
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Familiar with Air Force Instructions (AFI), Technical Order Policies, and Department of Defense (DoD) directives

    Additional desired experience and skills:

    • Bachelors Degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in an Air Force or DOD project support environment
    • Working knowledge of SharePoint
    • Extensive knowledge of the Stock Control System (SCS), specifically D035J (FIABS)
    • Proven ability to function in a team environment and good communication skills
