SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for maintaining the operations of our technical infrastructure and assets within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines across all TOMZ locations. To supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company's computing needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties and responsibilities include:

Maintain essential IT operations, including but not limited to operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
Coach, Mentor and Manage direct reports to support all IT departmental needs.
Manage and coordinate activities related to end user support, onboarding, and system configuration.
Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to manage the collection and maintenance of manufacturing process data.
Negotiate licensing and associated costs with vendors.
Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
Administration of employment practices, including, but is not limited to, monitoring time & attendance, hiring, terminating, counseling and disciplinary actions for all employees, and performed in compliance with Federal and local laws, as well as TOMZ policies.
Occasional travel to IN, MN, up to 10%.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

BS in Computer Science, industry-known certifications, or equivalent directly transferrable work experience.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of progressive technical and operational experience (In a manufacturing environment preferred)

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
Exceptional knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) solutions.
Experience in coaching and developing subordinates, utilizing performance management tools and disciplines while increasing employee engagement and retention.
Strong verbal and written English language communication skills.
leader with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Microsoft 365 licensing and reporting
Experience with various technical methods and tools; such as SIEM (LogicMonitor), RMM (Xcitium), IDS & IPS (Meraki), Backup and DR (Datto), Secure Email Gateway (Mimecast), Phishing Awareness (PhishMe/Mimecast)
Familiarity with ERP, BI tools, and Microsoft SQL a plus
Scripting/automation skills also a plus (Powershell/Python)
