    Description


    Perform moderately difficult software design, research and development activities, and provide direct input into software system development project plans, schedules and methodology, across multiple software systems.

    Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of software system components of moderate complexity. Develop moderate software system modules, system components, as well as develop simple to moderately complex re-usable code. Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.

    Recommend and perform changes in system parameters or code to obtain optimum system performance, and conduct complete analysis as well as raise technical implications for changes in business process and/or requirements.

    Implement and refactor system components using Java 8 (Java Steam API, Lambda Expressions, Multithreading), Spring boot, RESTful Web services, XQuery and delivered high quality code with minimal defects by adopting coding best practices.

    Solve technical issues, complex system problems using debugging tools or other diagnostic aids.

    Collaborate within cross-functional project teams to ensure integrity of existing fabrication processes and participate in the implementation of new technologies.

    Perform other duties as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field required.
    2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
    Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
    Experience can be concurrent.
