    Description

    Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Anesthetist to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our anesthesia care unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and obstetrical procedures. From pre-operative assessments to post-operative care, you will play a crucial role in optimizing patient outcomes and providing exceptional anesthesia services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct pre-operative interviews with patients to assess anesthesia needs.
    • Collaborate with anesthesiologists to devise anesthesia plans based on patient records.
    • Prepare and utilize necessary equipment and supplies for anesthesia delivery.
    • Administer anesthesia and analgesia during surgical and obstetrical procedures.
    • Monitor patient parameters to evaluate responses to anesthesia and surgery.
    • Provide prompt intervention and consultation for adverse reactions.
    • Record patient status accurately before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
    • Escort patients to the recovery room and provide comprehensive reports to recovery room staff.
    • Mentor and support student nurse anesthetists in clinical procedures and techniques.
    • Deliver emergency and resuscitative care as needed throughout the Medical Center.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    • Current Illinois RN and CRNA licenses.
    • Completion of an approved anesthesia program.
    • Certification with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (or eligibility).
