Your work area
Pathology is a small but very important department in our hospital located in Chanhassen, MN. Our team consists of two doctors, 7 medical technical assistants (MTAs), and 3 administrative staff. We examine approximately 20,000 tissue samples each year from various medical specialties. We offer a pleasant working environment with short distances and a good working atmosphere. Shift schedules are determined through mutual agreement.

What to expect

  • Professional and goaloriented leadership of the existing MTA team
  • Planning, coordinating, and ensuring smooth work processes
  • Maintenance and upkeep of analysis equipment
  • Your tasks include all laboratory activities in the field of pathology, especially independent cutting, embedding, and sectioning on the microtome, standard, special, and immunostaining, cytological preparations, and molecular diagnostics
  • Organizational and administrative tasks (e.g. documentation, IT, etc.)
  • An open and friendly team that is looking forward to working with you
What you bring

  • Successfully completed vocational training as a Medical Technologist for Laboratory Analysis (m/f/d)
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in pathology
  • Completed leadership seminar
  • Further training in immunohistochemistry
  • Extensive knowledge of cutting techniques and histological staining methods
  • Technical skills in handling analysis machines
  • Confident and positive demeanor combined with reliable, careful, and independent work style
  • Interest in quality assurance measures and certification processes
