    Purchasing Agent - Scottsdale, AZ - Residential Construction experience required
    We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team in the Residential Construction industry.

    This position requires a strategic individual who is adept at vendor management, project management, residential construction, homebuilding, and handling purchase orders.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a proven track record of successful purchasing and negotiation within the construction industry.

    This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive compensation package and an opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals.

    As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for:

    Managing and overseeing the purchasing activities for the construction projects, ensuring all purchases are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery times.
    Collaborating with project management teams to forecast project needs and establish purchasing schedules.
    Issuing purchase orders, following up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
    Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continuously scouting for new potential partnerships.
    Analyzing market trends and applying this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
    Coordinating with the finance team to ensure accurate billing and payment for goods and services.
    Keeping detailed records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
    Reviewing and managing the company's inventory of supplies and materials.
    The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Agent position should have the following qualifications:

    A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role within the construction industry.

    Proven experience in managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and handling purchase orders.
    Proficient in project management and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound buying decisions based on market trends.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing management software.
    A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
    Certification from the American Purchasing Society or another recognized professional purchasing organization will be a plus.
