    About the Company:
    MattLaw is a group of injury lawyers in Tampa, led by Matt Powell, with a 35-year history of protecting victims and their families. The firm focuses on defending the most vulnerable members of society, such as children and the elderly.

    Mothers trust healthcare professionals during childbirth, but sometimes this trust is broken, leading to children born with cerebral palsy. Children may fall victim to hazardous products or unsafe environments, while the elderly may face risks in understaffed nursing homes. In addition, MattLaw actively promotes child safety by sponsoring charity events in the Tampa Bay area, providing free bicycle helmets and safety gear.


    Summary:
    The Chief Financial Officer role at MattLaw involves overseeing banking and accounting operations, managing trust transactions, budgeting, forecasting, and collaborating with marketing and operations teams. The position also entails auditing financial documents and ensuring accounting accuracy.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Reconciliation of all accounts
    • Bank and credit card account management
    • Bookkeeping and tax responsibilities
    • Monitoring lines of credit and preparing payroll
    • Handling sales tax and human resources tasks

    Experience and Skills Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines and solve problems efficiently
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Positive attitude and team player mindset
    • Proficiency in accounting software like Quicken and Quickbooks
