    Job Title:
    Accounting Clerk


    Company/Industry:
    Well-established lighting manufacturer


    Location:
    Hicksville, NY


    Salary:
    $20-25 per hour, Commensurate with experience + benefits

    Status:
    Temp to Hire, Full-time On-site

    Role responsibilities


    • Assist the month-end-close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing financial statements
    • Maintain and control the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization as well as apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Work with the Accounting Manager to improve controls in accounting and transactional processes
    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
    • Assist in audits and any other duties assigned

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of accounting/finance required
    • Must be Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel (Pivot, V-lookup, and Formula)
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
    Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $ $25.00 Per Hour
