    Job Title: Commissioning Engineer III

    Location: Chicago, IL

    About the company

    An esteemed construction and engineering consultancy is in search of a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer / Agent to expand their commissioning team in Chicago, IL.

    About the position

    The main goals of our Commissioning Engineer / Agent are to ensure that the engineering services systems' commissioning processes are carefully planned, executed, tested, and documented with safety and precision. This involves:

    • Serving as a primary client contact
    • Creating and coordinating Commissioning Plans following ASHRAE Guideline O format
    • Guiding and supervising junior engineers
    • Examining design specifications, criteria, drawings, and other documents
    • Proactively advancing commissioning activities with the General Contractor and vendors throughout the project cycle
    • Through dedicated management of the commissioning process, ensuring that systems operate optimally and are verified in line with design requirements
    • Developing and coordinating functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade
    • Ensuring service quality, delivery, and meeting client expectations

    Is this role a match for you?

    • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or possess 4-7 years of relevant experience
    • Have at least 4 years of hands-on field experience in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large Mechanical systems
    • Experience in commissioning large distribution systems in pharmaceutical, mission critical, industrial, data center, healthcare, or life science sectors
