Description
The Sr Technology Specialist is a seasoned technical leader in our Network Operations Center team. The NOC team is the first point of contact for our customers and their end-users. This position is focused on acting as a go-to technical resource for other DLC team members. In addition this position works to solve problems quickly and efficiently utilizing the combined expertise of the team members.
The Sr Technology Specialist is a blend of a "Level 2 / Level 3" technician, and a technical project leader.
The position is expected to have seasoned knowledge of a variety of technologies and systems including end-user computing, server maintenance and updates, firewalls, VoIP platforms and PSA and RMM automation systems.
In addition the Sr Technology Specialist is responsible for providing summarized project status updated to our customers leadership team until the issue is resolved or the project is completed.
The Sr Technology Specialist acts as the technical leader on various projects including desktop rollouts, server installations and more. The position also provides end-user training, proactive system maintenance and responds to alerts from systems monitoring as needed.
This position works out of our Network Operations Center, however travel to various customer sites will also be required (local car travel only).
Required Experience/Education:
High School Diploma or GED with at least one technical certification, 7 years of related technical experience, 7 years customer service experience
Technical Certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, etc. are strongly desired
Vendor Certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Meraki, Sophos, Watchguard, 3CX, etc are strongly desired. At least two are required.
Valid drivers license and functional/presentable vehicle required (mileage reimbursement provided)
Prior Managed Service Provider or multi-site/multi-company IT environment is required.
