Description

Role: Transaction Manager

Salary: $100k - $120k (some flex)

Onsite: M-TH – Brickell area, remote on Fridays

Reason for opening: adding additional headcount / growing the team.

Interview process: 1 virtual, 1 onsite.

Must-Haves:

Strong understanding of residential mortgage loans, collateral, diligence, valuation.
3-5 years' experience of loan purchasing, working at a loan servicer, mortgage company or bank in a transaction manager role.
Proficient in excel and word.
Capable of facing/utilizing many different servicing, vendors, proprietary asset management system
Must be well spoken, executive and client facing.
Ability and willingness to take full ownership of initiatives and/or issues – with external partners and internal operations – until they are completed and/or resolve
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities simultaneously.

Plusses:

Familiarity with rated, non-agency mortgage securitization process is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing loans closings for newly originated residentials pools.
Assist with loan validation and loan purchase process, including but not limited to the following functions:
Validate the Custodian's verification of loan data file and loan docs.
Ensure loan origination file data matches purchase tape information.
Coordinate with finance teams to have wires sent to issuing bank partners to purchase loans.
Reconcile and/or correct issues across all functions/vendors related to the loan purchase process.
Overseeing loan acquisitions process in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of residential mortgage loans, collateral, diligence, valuation.
Coordinate multiple documents with counterparties and make sure that key dates and timelines are followed.
Prepare trackers and tapes, compile, and review diligence responses, provide rebuttals and communicate updates.
Capable of using many different servicing, vendors, proprietary asset management system to track, gather and report on trades, portfolio.
