    Job Description:
    Position Summary


    Duties and responsibilities include processing payroll, maintaining time keeping records, reviewing payroll and payroll reports for accuracy, federal tax filings, and accounting and budgeting.

    This is a hybrid position working four days remotely. Must be in the office on Wednesdays (subject to change).

    Duties/Responsibilities

    Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls including wage and overtime payments
    Set up garnishments and levies, processes off-cycle manual checks and termination pay
    Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
    Generate and verify payroll reports
    Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
    Reconcile bi-weekly, quarter-end and year-end reports
    Review and audit in-house payroll tax filings 941's
    Verify and reconcile W2s prior to issuance
    Document and update written payroll procedures
    Answer questions regarding paychecks, withholding tax issues or wage adjustments from employees and help troubleshoot possible issues with pay
    Prepare/review journal entries related to payroll transactions
    Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to benefits and payroll
    Provide payroll variance analysis, as required by Accounting
    Assist with reporting related to productivity and position control
    Assist with annual budget process related to payroll and workforce planning
    Special projects as assigned

    Required Skills/Abilities

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
    Working knowledge of payroll production and reporting
    Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and general ledger
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Strong organizational and time management skills
    High attention to detail and accuracy
