    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The HCA ITG Consulting Product Analyst leads all efforts of reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating clinical informatics system and user needs. They rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They are sought after to coach/mentor others and to provide consultative expertise related to clinical informatics. The Consulting Product Analyst is engaged in multiple projects, most with significant interdependencies with new and existing systems. The Consulting Product Analyst works with multiple stakeholders within ITG, Field, Clinical Business Operations, Clinical Vendors and Parallon Operations to define strategies, scope and requirements to deliver successful IT solutions. Consulting Product Analysts work on highly visible and extremely complex efforts. They must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

    As assigned by leadership, this individual will ensure proper configuration, implementation, and integration for products to meet the needs of our key stakeholders while meeting IT security standards.

    In some cases, this individual will need to act as a project manager, business analyst, product tester, etc.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Performs a variety of tasks associated with the retrieval of patient care documentation and associated patient audit information
    • Maintains and grows knowledge of EHR and other patient documentation systems and understanding of where various data points and clinical information might be located. Develops understanding of how various clinical documents and notes flow from the EHRs to the Legal Medical Record
    • Helps build upon established guidelines and utilizes critical thinking to complete key job responsibilities, such as, medical record retrieval across multiple systems including MEDITECH, PatientKeeper, Horizon Patient Folder/McKesson Patient Folder, and any other system used for patient care.
    • Ability to plan, manage, and track requests for research from inception to end
    • Enhances intake and tracking of various audit requests and communicates relevant progress to requesters and appropriate stakeholders.
    • Establishes reasonable SLAs for gathering Patient Audit requests
    • Servers as a coach and mentor to others.
    • Identifies training and education needs for proper procedures to deliver patient audit information
    • Works with multiple partners from facilities, Parallon, Clinical Services, and trusted external partners
    • Can maneuver through complex political situations effectively; anticipates obstacles and plans his/her approach accordingly.
    • Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems
    • Team builder, motivator, coach, and trainer.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelors degree required
    • 7+ years of experience in Electronic Health Records required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
    • Facilitation experience preferred

    Travel Required

    • Occasional Travel: The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
