Description
Essential Functions:
Presents training lectures and performs all of the On the Job Training needs for Job and Family Service Divisions (Public Assistance, Workforce Development) (e.g., in cooperation with Training Supervisor or designee, responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out training activities on an on-going basis to meet needs of staff; assists supervisor in developing and preparing policies, procedures, and forms necessary to ensure proper application of regulations, policies and procedures presented during training session, etc.); performs all job duties of an ERS 2 position.
Requires the ability to bridge the gap between management and front-line staff under upper level supervision requiring knowledge of all services provided by Job and Family Services Department; assist in motivating, coaching and developing, leads by example, facilitate problem solving for team members.
Trains assigned team of Job and Family Service ERS 2 staff by scheduling work, assigning tasks, coordinating daily activities and monitoring performance.
Attends conferences, and training sessions, hearings, and meetings to receive information pertaining to public assistance programs and operations and related fields.
(4) Performs other duties related to Public Assistance and Workforce Development program operations as assigned.Required Qualifications:
1 year experience as an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 2.
Or 2 years experience as Unit Support Worker 2, 20112.
Or completion of undergraduate major core coursework in behavioral science, social science or education, 1 course or 6 months experience in interviewing techniques, and 1 course or 6 months experience.
Or completion of 2 years of technical education in behavioral science or social science, 1 course or 6 months, experience in interviewing techniques, and 1 course of 6 months experience in typing, keyboarding, or word processing.
Or 2 courses or 1 year of experience in behavioral science, social science, or customer service techniques, 1 course or 6 months experience in business mathematics, 1 course or 6 months experience in business English, 1 course or 6 months experience in interviewing techniques, and 1 course or 6 months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing.
