Reporting to the Sr.
Director Marketing Communications, this role is responsible for advising on the positioning, messaging and channel strategies for areas of the Global Marketing franchises and its corresponding products, with a focus on Tradeshows.
Hands-on global position responsible for managing all project requests through the Global MarCom process and acts as a strategic partner to Global Marketing.
This includes supporting with value propositions, positioning, and messaging, collateral creation, approval, channel strategies, dissemination, and tradeshows.Works globally, liaising with partners across Smith+Nephew to ensure understanding of key market and customer factors and aligns communications approach and asset toolbox accordingly.
Assets can include tradeshow graphics, digital and print brochures, advertising, video, animations, digital assets and social media, among others. Collateral creation includes copywriting of headlines and body copy as well as storyboards.What will you be doing?Act as the cross-franchise tradeshow Marketing Communications Manager, collaborating with Global Marketing, the Tradeshow team and other cross-functional partners to build an integrated and holistic approach to tradeshow communicationSupport defined area of the business as Marketing Communications Account ManagerAlign project priorities in line with business and franchise focus, needs and deadlinesAct as the liaison between the creative department, related departments and the client with regards to providing production schedules, critical milestones and general updatesAct as brand manager, ensuring S+N appropriate branding approachEnsure that all projects are delivered on time and on budgetContinuously interface with the MRM system to ensure projects follow the proper workflow and approval processesEnsure timely release of all artwork with appropriate documentation to outside sourcesEnsure full approval of all collateralKeep creative and production staff apprised of project priorities and due datesExpedite "rush" projects while maintaining orderly flow of daily workKeep others informed of conflicts and delaysAcquire deadline extensions when necessaryEnsure accuracy and maintenance of literature inventory including online literature ordering systemSupport distribution of collateral to relevant sources (integrated approach)Participate/guide Strategy, Positioning and Messaging planning and execution with marketing teams as neededBuild global reach of the produced promotional assets where appropriateFacilitate briefings, reviews with internal staff and partnersRecommend and implement process improvementsWhat will you need to be successful?
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communication, PR, or closely related fieldExperience:
5+ years in marketing communications, communications, PR, marketing or closely related fieldExperience in a global organization or global exposure/experience preferredMedical device Marketing Communications, Agency and/or Tradeshow background a plus
