We are seeking a registered traffic engineering professional with seven or more years of traffic design and operations experience who has the communication skills, initiative, and follow-through skills needed to manage projects and tasks to join our dynamic and growing team in our Saint Paul, MN office.

The responsibilities for the position of Senior Traffic Engineer include:
Collaborating with colleagues, clients, and agencies; providing the support and input needed to efficiently deliver successful traffic-related projects.
Managing dynamic traffic design projects.
Mentoring and overseeing team members in area(s) of specialty.

Leveraging engineering CADD technology and other software aids to oversee and support the development of transportation projects that adhere to applicable design standards.

Primary work area includes preliminary and final traffic signal, signing, pavement marking, work zone traffic control, and roadway lighting design.

Assisting with project procurement, scoping, and management.
Evolving innovation, best practices, and efficiency within areas(s) of specialty and across Isthmus.
Evidencing continued commitment to individual, company, and industry improvement.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in Civil Engineering field.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota, or ability to obtain the same within six months.
Seven, or more years of traffic engineering experience; project management experience a plus.
Experience with traffic and signal operations, including proficiency with Synchro/SimTraffic and VISSIM, a plus.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following skills:
Proficiency in leveraging CADD as an aid to quality design and efficient plan production.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain productivity in an autonomous environment.
Positive team-focused attitude.
