- Prepare and file patent applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain and update patent dockets, tracking important deadlines and documentation.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
- Utilize specialized software such as Patent Center, IPDAS, Anaqua, and WIPO for efficient document management and filing.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) with the USPTO.
- Track and input billing hours, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial management processes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and internal stakeholders, responding promptly to inquiries and requests.
- 12+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with a focus on Intellectual Property law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Familiarity with specialized legal software such as Patent Center, Blackbox, Pattsy, Netdocs, and Espace.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certificate or degree in relevant field preferred (e.g., Legal Studies, Business Administration).
