    We are looking for an Accountant to support our accounting group in order to efficiently run our business. Our ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, be a helpful team player, detail oriented and tactful. This role reports directly to the Controller.

    Please note this position is located in Lexington, KY.

    Daily responsibilities include:

    • Assist with Accounts Payable by posting invoices and managing payment activity
    • Assist with month-end closing procedures
    • Reconcile expense general ledger accounts and other general accounts as needed, including cost of goods sold
    • Daily and monthly bank account reconciliations

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Post monthly journal entries (accruals, depreciation, other)
    • Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
    • Keep information confidential and secure them with database backups
    • Propose process improvements for efficiency
    • Work closely with the Controller on any other tasks relating to reporting, forecasting, compliance and general operations

    Requirements

    • Proven 2+ years of work experience as an Accountant
    • Solid understanding and experience working with an accounting system (we use NetSuite)
    • Proactive and have strong attention to detail
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
    • Proficient in Excel/Microsoft Suite
    • Experience with NetSuite, Expensify, Salesforce is a plus
