    Hanna Resource Group is searching for a Staff Accountant II for All Star Purchasing, a Lexington, Kentucky-based organization. All Star Purchasing is a GPO that helps members pay less for the products and services they purchase for their businesses.     Job Summary: The Staff Accountant II is responsible for processing billing and receivables accurately, including handling collections and addressing moderately complex customer concerns. This role proactively supports teammates with accounting functions.


    General Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    1. Manages member accounts to resolve concerns, answer questions, or reconcile accounts through relationship building and problem solving.
    2. Processes billing accurately and adjusts credits to correctly reflect member accounts.
    3. Reviews billing and credits for errors and makes corrections as needed.
    4. Attempts to collect past due invoices through email, letters, and calls.
    5. Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable and balances in a journal.
    6. Enters invoices and reconciles member accounts.
    7. Evaluate concerns about member's accounts and make case by case decisions by using discretion and independent judgment.
    8. Obtains additional documentation from members and vendors as requested.
    9. Provides great customer service and responds to questions and requests.
    10. Coordinates with other All Star teams, members, and suppliers to ensure that all accounts are up to date.
    11. Supports the CFO with special projects as needed.
    12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma required. An accounting degree is preferred.

    Certifications and Trainings: None.

    Experience: Three to five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience is required.


    Physical Requirements

    This position is required to sit for extended periods of time.

    Sensory Requirements

    This position requires the ability to hear, speak, talk, and see.

    Working Condition

    This position works in a typical office environment.

    Tools, Equipment, and Vehicle Use

    This position requires the ability to use standard office equipment and specialized programs.

    Availability and Travel

    This position must be available for normal business hours.
