    Summary

    The primary purpose of this position is to manage a wide range of administrative services in support of the AFRH-W Administrator, including but not limited to, management analysis, procurement, contract administration, property management, space management, security administration, reports management, information processing, and similar or closely related activities.

    Duties

    As an Administrative Officer, you will:
    • Develop, analyze, implement, and evaluate policies, systems, and procedures within governing records management.
    • Develop purchasing strategies, coordinate with support staff regarding supply needs, and oversee purchasing requests.
    • Ensure that all contracted services are being provided according to contract provisions.
    • Coordinate mandatory training activities for AFRH-W staff and maintain database of training status of all employees.
    • Work effectively with all levels of AFRH-W staff to ensure accuracy of time reporting and to resolve any problems related to time and leave records.

    The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.     The AFRH ethics program promotes the highest standards of ethical conduct for all employees. As an AFRH employee, you will also be subject to the AFRH Supplemental Ethics Regulations which restrict the extent to which a AFRH employee can engage in certain activities and hold certain investments. Depending on your position, you may also be required to file a public or confidential financial disclosure report which must be filed within 30 days of your appointment as an employee of AFRH. Upon your new appointment, you will receive guidance regarding your ethics obligations. You will also be required to attend a mandatory ethics training within 3 months of your appointment.     Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    For the GS-12, you must have one year of Specialized Experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service.

    Specialized Experience for this position includes:

    -
    Experience serving as an authority for records management, providing technical guidance as required. Examples of this experience include: Maintaining records for disposal in accordance with established policies and procedures; AND

    -
    Experience tracking execution of a cost center's funding. Examples of this experience include: Ensuring the cost center stayed within the budget. Placing orders for a cost c enter through an automated system for reconciling and approving purchase card transactions and reviewing purchase requests and gaining approval to purchases submitted by other personnel; AND

    -
    Experience coordinating and directing efficient correspondence flow between organizational elements. Examples of this experience include: Developing procedures for official correspondence management to be implemented by clerical and other staff; AND

    -
    Experience managing internal mail distribution and official mail requirements. Examples of this experience include: Coordinating organization-wide priorities and procedures with reference to mail issues; AND

    -
    Experience coordinating the preparation of all organizational directives with the operating officials of various offices.
