Job Summary:

The Strategic Account Representative is responsible for increasing Superior Plus Propane's market share of strategic accounts. This role is a combination role of an outside strategic account hunter and strategic account manager.

This individual will work closely with the Strategic Accounts Director, focused on selling and maintaining our national accounts, growing the organizations strategic account base through its existing customers and new opportunities and prospects.

They will maintain positive relationships with existing clients, meet assigned quotas, and ensure customer satisfaction. They will also manage key account portfolios and work to achieve set account objectives.

This position will establish strong long-term customer relationships and communicate with significant customers regularly while responding to specific queries and new customer opportunities.

They will suggest solutions and innovative ideas that quickly and effectively meet customer's needs.
Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling and increasing strategic market share throughout the organization.
  • Prospect and create partnerships with 3rd party referral partners.
  • Create cross regional opportunities in multiple LOB segments.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve longterm partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals.
  • Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs.
  • Negotiate contracts with new and existing clients.
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure longterm success.
  • Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are met.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and crosssell to clients.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications, Certifications, Endorsements and Educational Requirements

  • 7+ years of outside BB sales.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Indepth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members
  • BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
