    Human Resources Coordinator

    Huntsville, Alabama

    Marathon TS is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support a company that is a leading government contracting firm based in Huntsville, Alabama. They specialize in providing innovative solutions and services to government agencies, focusing on areas such as defense and technology. This position would be primarily onsite in Huntsville, AL

    Job Overview: As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department in various administrative tasks and functions. You will assist with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about human resources and are looking to start their career or gain some additional experience in this field.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Recruitment Support:

    • Assist with posting job openings on job boards and company website.
    • Screen resumes and schedule interviews for candidates.
    • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding process.
    Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and requests.
    • Assist in maintaining employee records and databases.
    • Support HR investigations and disciplinary actions as needed.
    Benefits Administration:
    • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries.
    • Coordinate with benefit providers and assist with open enrollment activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits participation.
    HR Compliance:
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Support HR audits and document retention efforts.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
    General Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
    • Prepare HR-related documents, reports, and presentations.
    • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • Prior internship or work experience in human resources or related field is a plus.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations is desirable.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
