Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is a highly visible and key member of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team focused on the development of the company's annual operating plan, forecasting, and financial analysis functions.

The Senior Financial Analyst performs a variety of finance functions to support the maintenance of accurate financial records. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow career and progress into higher level financial roles.
Essential Job Functions
Lead the development of the company's annual operating budget for supported businesses.
Monitors budget performance compared to plan and alerts managers to potential issues.
Assists with the preparation of monthly performance metrics and executive reporting packages.
Drive decisions by providing analytical support through forecasting, performance metrics, and ad hoc analyses.
Improve existing finance processes to accelerate analysis for the proactive identification of business risks and opportunities.
Active member on cross-functional teams by providing the analytical support necessary to add value to the business.
Identifies process improvement and cost-saving opportunities and recommends appropriate action steps to realize savings.
Works with Information Technology staff to establish corporate performance reporting mechanisms to track and report key financial metrics.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or equivalent in education and work experience.
Five years+ accounting or finance required related experience, preferred in a distribution environment
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Oracle E1 JDE helpful
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven track record of challenging the status quo and driving business performance through financial analytics.
