Department Information
The Center for Mental Health Care & Resources educates students for life by providing a variety of services and programs that are consistent and consonant with the strategic plan goals of the Institution and of Student Engagement & Well-Being. Services include testing and assessment, referral to support services, short-term individual counseling, group counseling, couples counseling, crisis intervention, as well as mental health workshops, and consultation for faculty and staff, family and friends of Tech students.
Provide direct counseling service to Counseling Center clients, as well as consultation and outreach to campus community. Provide crisis intervention and after-hours on-call emergency consultation. This position will interact on a regular basis with: unit and department staff, campus staff, community mental health providers, clients, students and patients. ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Provide initial screenings/intakes/assessment; provide individual, group and couples counseling.
Job Duty 2 -
Maintain thorough clinical documentation, including assessments, notes and evaluations.

Provide crisis intervention and after-hours emergency on-call coverage.

Provide outreach and consultation to students and campus groups.

Educational Requirements
Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related mental health field
Other Required Qualifications
Currently licensed in professional discipline in Georgia or in another state. If licensed in another state, must be able to obtain state of Georgia license within one year.
Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience
