APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is hiring immediately for a full time Senior Engineer - Pressure Systems (Fixed Equipment Engineer/Static Equipment Engineer) located in Gonzales, Louisiana (would consider this position to be based in Baton Rouge, Geismar, New Orleans, Convent, or Westlake), in a hybrid-style work arrangement (~60% wfh and ~40% working onsite).
The engineer provides pressure systems support of facilities owned and operated by Air Products in North America, primarily on the Gulf Coast.
Do you have a passion for solving complex equipment issues? The engineer travels (approx. 40%) to plant sites and engineering offices to provide technical solutions, and will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, metallurgy, and 3rd party engineering firms to address fixed equipment engineering challenges.Develop plans and lead repairs and/or alterations to coded vessels and fixed equipment, including boilers, piping, tanks, exchangers, etc.
Perform engineering design calculations to implement design changes to static equipment and address operating issues.Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent experience).
Design and/or maintenance experience of vessels, tanks, piping, and high temperature insulation and refractory systems.
Experience with design, inspection, and repairs of fixed equipment associated with steam systems (boilers, Dearators, convection coils).
Experience with inspection / test procedures used to assess vessels, tanks, piping, and heat exchangers.
Fixed Equipment experience associated with Hydrogen, Ammonia and/or Methanol production is a plus.
