    • Salary Grade: 161E
    • Salary Pay Range for This Position: $111, $172,700.00

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to support the Compliance Officer & Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Compliance Management System of the Credit Union. This role involves being a subject matter expert on compliance matters, particularly in real estate and consumer lending.

    The position entails providing daily compliance support, distributing information on internal compliance requirements, laws, regulations, and promoting best practices across all areas of the Credit Union.

    Extensive experience and expertise in compliance are essential for this role.


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations, including TRID, RESPA, HMDA, TILA, ECOA, TISA, and NCUA Rules and Regulations.
    • Monitor and analyze proposed and final changes to laws, rules, and regulations.
    • Research and provide responses to regulatory inquiries.
    • Develop and deliver presentations to management.
    • Conduct assessments to evaluate compliance with regulations and internal policies.
    • Review policies, marketing campaigns, disclosures, and new products.
    • Perform other compliance and risk management duties as assigned.

    Requirements:


    • 7 to 10 years of experience in credit union or retail banking.
    • Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in the financial industry.
    • Expertise in federal and state consumer protection and compliance requirements.
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Certifications such as CRCM, CUCE, NCCO desirable.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate across departments and maintain positive relationships.

    Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft applications required.

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform various mathematical calculations.

    Physical Demands: Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
