    Description
    Duties


    • Instructional Support and Organization
    • Is able to reinforce educator planned instruction.
    • Is able to carry over student instructional and behavioral goals and
    objectives throughout the daily program.


    • Monitors student performance.
    • Effectively works with groups.
    • Actively participates in classroom activities.
    • Organizes equipment and materials as directed by the educator.
    • Assumes responsibility for classroom/program cleanliness.
    • Follows educator directions in creating bulletin boards, student
    worksheets, etc.


    • Promotes student independence.
    • Communication
    • Exhibits effective communication skills.
    • Is systematic in record keeping as assigned by the educator.
    • Maintains an open rapport with students.
    • Maintains confidentiality.
    III. Management of Student Conduct


    • Adequately assists educator in supervision and student safety.
    • Exhibits respect and concern for students.
    • Accepts and effectively works with each student in accordance with
    his/her personal needs.


    • Follows behavior management programs including use of positive
    reinforcement techniques.

    • Makes efficient use of time.
    • Takes appropriate initiative.
    • Completes tasks on time.
    • Demonstrates flexibility.
    • Accepts criticism and suggestions.
    • Exhibits willingness to cooperate.
    • Has good attendance and is punctual.

    • Maintains an appropriate appearance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
    Qualifications

    Physical ability to participate in lifting of students.

    Physical ability to participate in physical restraint of students.
