    Job Title: Practice Manager

    Immediate Supervisor: Medical Group Board and MedMan Client Architect

    Job Supervisory Responsibilities: All support staff

    General Summary: An exempt management position responsible for managing the daily operations of medical practice.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    1. Oversees daily office operations. Identifies and resolves operational problems. Delegates authority to assigned supervisors/leads.
    2. Actively engage with the MedMan Client Services Delivery Team to ensure the practice's success.
    3. Accountable for the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development, evaluation and discipline of staff.
    4. Supervises personnel. Prepares payroll for employees.
    5. Managing disputes and conflicts involving patients and staff
    6. Develops, with input from key stakeholders, and implements clinic policies and procedures.
    7. Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. Ensures that office is staffed appropriately.
    8. Prepares monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
    9. Maintains provider applications and credentialing information for participating health plans.
    10. Manages accounts payable. Prepares daily bank deposit and performs monthly reconciliation.
    11. Participates in professional development efforts to ensure currency in health care practices and trends.
    12. Establishes and maintains an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
    13. Oversees and approves office supply inventory.
    14. Negotiating with service providers, suppliers and medical sales representatives
    15. Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
    16. Maintains patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA.
    17. Performs other related duties as directed or required.
    Requirements:

    Education: High School Degree or equivalent required. Bachelors Degree or minimum of two years experience working in a medical practice as a lead or supervisor.

    Experience: Minimum three years of healthcare experience.

    Knowledge:

    1. Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
    2. Knowledge of, and experience working with, an electronic health record (EHR)

    Skills:

    1. Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
    2. Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
    3. Skill in problem solving.
    4. Skill in verbal and written communication.

    Abilities:

    1. Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.
    2. Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
    3. Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.

    Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

    Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.

    Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
