As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and supporting financial decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax planning, compliance, and reporting, with a proven ability to lead and manage tax-related projects.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
Tax Planning and Strategy:
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify tax-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
Financial Reporting:
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements.
Prepare and review financial reports related to tax liabilities, credits, and deductions.
Assist in the development of financial models to support tax planning initiatives.
Audit Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for tax audits and inquiries.
Prepare documentation and support for audit requests.
Work with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
Provide guidance on complex tax issues and foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or advanced degree is preferred.
Proven experience (7+ years) as a Tax Manager or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
