    Description

    The Consultant shall provide the services of a full-time Senior Level Structural Engineer Level VII-VIII to assist the MTA Construction and Development Company ("MTA C&D") to perform technical designs for the MTA Bridges and Tunnels.

    LOCATION AND SCHEDULING

    • The Senior Level Structural Engineer Level VII-VIII shall work at the MTA C&D offices at 2 Broadway, New York, NY
    • The Senior Level Structural Engineer Level VII-VIII shall report directly to the Vice President, Deputy Program Executive, Program Technical Services
    • Field visits will be conducted as necessary and directed.

    RESPONSIBILITES

    The Senior Level Structural Engineer Level VII-VIII tasks will include, but not be limited to the following:

    • Performing bridge and tunnels structural analysis and design with specific experience for Design/Build projects.
    • Developing project specifications.
    • Developing RFP documents for Design-Build projects.
    • Creating technical drawings.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural Engineering.
    • Professional Engineering license in the State of New York.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • A minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience.
    • Master of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering may count as one (1) year of experience.
    • Experience in writing specifications / working with technical standards.
    • Specific experience in Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, Design and Construction.
    • Experience in the development of specifications, technical standards, design guidelines, and standard details.
    • Familiarity with the MTA C&D Design Procedures (preferred but not required).
    • A valid driver's license.
