    Description

    The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Manager role is to ensure adherence to applicable Food Safety and Quality standards, meeting both Company and Regulatory requirements, and ensuring customer satisfaction while safeguarding public health.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise QA Technicians
    • Provide guidance and training to QA staff on topics such as GMP, CCP, Food Safety, and Quality Specification
    • Collaborate with customers to enhance relationships
    • Address and manage all customer complaints
    • Conduct Annual Mock Recalls as per customer guidelines
    • Oversee all aspects of shelf-life, including documentation, trend analysis, and reporting
    • Develop customer and product specifications for raw materials and finished products
    • Conduct internal facility audits
    • Manage the Microbiological Sampling Program and Test & Hold Program

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field, preferably Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Business, or Crop Science; or a minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance in food manufacturing
    • HACCP certification or formal training in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point
    • FDA Risk-Based Preventive Controls or PCQI formalized training
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt Certification
    • SQF Certification
