- Oversee the QA department and ensure all employees adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Review and release batches following state and GTI procedures.
- Define, implement, and enhance GTI's Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with management on quality initiatives.
- Maintain sanitation and quality control practices for cannabis products.
- Adhere to HACCP, allergen, and sanitization programs.
- Lead investigations on product quality issues.
- Conduct Monthly Site Quality Reviews.
- Manage deviations and changes to SOPs.
- Manage non-conforming materials and execute state-required training.
- Track quality KPIs, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
- Train and develop QA/QC employees.
- Promote awareness and responsibility through training and communication.
- Establish employee goals and monitor performance.
- Exposure to allergens like cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in a regulated production organization.
- Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering or similar field.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in building QA/QC processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Certifications in SQF, ISO, GMP, ASQ, HACCP or similar are preferred.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to lead teams and foster a collaborative culture.
- Experience in root cause problem-solving.
- Thorough knowledge of Medical Marijuana laws and regulations.
- Pass background checks.
- Compliance with legal and company regulations.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Approval by state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.

Quality Assurance Manager
The Quality Assurance Manager's main responsibility resides in managing and enforcing all quality assurance operations at GTI's production facilities. The QA/QC Manager will lead the upgrading and implementation of quality assurance policies and operational procedures at GTI. This includes developing and implementing Product Quality programs, adherence to HACCP programs, product tracking systems, ingredient management, allergen and sanitization programs, as well as product safety practices. The individual in this position ensures team compliance with all GTI operating procedures and relevant regulations.
