- Work within the R&D team to design, fabricate, and test chemical reactors and supporting systems
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems with a focus on DFM/DFA
- Design, fabricate, and test prototype products for evaluation using in-house machine shop
- Design and fabricate fixtures to support and validate advanced R&D initiatives
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges
- Perform failure analysis on parts
- Assist with QA and testing activities
- Work with domestic and international vendors, contract manufacturers, and partners to fabricate gas processing equipment and ancillary components
- BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles in an applicable industry
- Proficient in SOLIDWORKS (Experience with PDM is a plus)Machine shop & fabrication experience (i.e., lathe, mill, 3D printing)
- Extensive relevant engineering experience in process scale up and commercialization of new chemical technologies
- Team player: Be able to share knowledge, leading the team, and support other groups
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience developing reliability testing is a plus
- Experience with biogas and/or CO2 utilization processes a plus

Role Overview
ReCarbon, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated and productive Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who will join our engineering team to lead the development of our plasma reforming product.
