Then read on We are currently seeking a mechanical engineer who will be responsible for to lead and support Value Engineering activities for our San Jose Life Sciences location.


    In this role, you will be responsible for:
    Driving redesign of current products to improve cost and quality Solving complex technical issues in product design and procurement logistics/implementation thru structured problem solving Developing engineering solutions using technical skills and structured design tools The required qualifications for the job include: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with 2-3 years experience in product development and product engineering support role
    • OR a Masters degree with 2 years experience Experienced in using SolidWorks (Surface Modeling, Motion, and simulation), Performing Tolerance Analysis, and GD&T Technical expertise in machining, die casting, extrusions, stamped metals, plastics, packaging, electronics, machine automation, linear motion Self starter with a demonstrated ability to focus efforts, overcome obstacles, and complete key objectives It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience with instrumentation (equipment) design and integration including complex electro mechanical systems, fluid handling, pneumatics, thermal systems, and/or optical systems Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot and improve mechanical and electromechanical systems using formal problem solving methodology with analytical and statistical methods Experience in dealing with design changes in a structured design control/change environment for medical devices At Beckman Coulter Life Sciences we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce.

    This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part-time at the Company location identified above and part-time remotely from your home.

    Additional information about this hybrid work arrangement will be provided by your interview team. Explore the flexibility and challenge that working for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences can provide. The salary range for this role is $90K-$1014K.

    This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

    We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
