- Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree.
- Candidates must be boardcertified or board eligible Ophthalmology.
- Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
- Candidates must have completed a residency and fellowship for respective subspecialty.
- Desire to practice at the nations' largest teaching hospitals at a single site, which is conveniently located on a medical campus adjacent to downtown Los Angeles.
- Candidates must have completed a vitreoretinal fellowship, experience and expertise in the management of diabetic retinopathy, complex retinal detachment, retinopathy of prematurity, and posterior segment trauma
- Passion for providing high quality clinical patient care to an underserved population.
- Passion to teach and work with fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Demonstrated interest in quality improvement or operation, demonstrated leadership and evidence of excellence in clinical/surgical education
- Interest in participating in scholarly activities.

- Ability to assist in developing the Ophthalmology services at LA General.
