Software Engineer - Full Stack Web Developer

Beacon AI is seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer with a strong background in building dynamic web applications that leverage complex geographic data.

This role centers on developing web applications using Cesium or Mapbox for 3D visualizations, combined with ReactJS for front-end development.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in interfacing with AWS to retrieve data and have the capability to build APIs, ensuring a comprehensive full-stack skill set.

You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and the growth of our web application product.

You will need to flourish as part of a growing team and be able to communicate effectively to other engineers, and product management.

What you'll do:

Web Application Development:
Develop and maintain a React web application. Ensure the applications are optimized for various devices and platforms.
3D Visualization: Utilize tools like Cesium and Mapbox to create interactive, data-driven 3D world visualizations.

API Development:
Design and implement APIs for web applications to interact with backend services hosted on AWS. Ensure APIs are secure, efficient, and scalable.

High-Refresh Time-Series Expertise:
Experience in optimizing and managing dynamic time-series data for efficient search and display in web applications.

Full Stack Optimization:
Optimize application performance across the stack, ensuring fast response times and a seamless user experience.

Collaborative Development:

Work closely with other team members, including backend developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to deliver holistic solutions that meet product goals.

Understanding of Full Stack Development:

Ability to develop both front-end and back-end components of web applications, with a focus on integration and data management.

Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on real-time data processing and visualization challenges. Exhibits initiative to identify blockers and generate solutions independently, ensuring continuous project momentum and team productivity.

Bonus Points:
Experience: 4+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure or related roles
Experience with additional cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of database management and architecture, especially with NoSQL databases.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and comfortable managing releases.
