The Certified Engineering Geologist will be responsible for providing professional geologic expertise to both public and private entities. They will be responsible for the identification, analysis and evaluation of subsurface and surface geologic conditions and processes. They will use their knowledge of geology, soils, and groundwater to evaluate geologic hazards, soil stability, and groundwater movement.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform geologic, hydrologic, and geotechnical investigationsDevelop and evaluate plans, designs and other activities related to geologic considerationsGather, analyze and interpret subsurface information for use in reports and other documentsDocument site activities and prepare written reportsConduct laboratory and field tests to assess soil type classification and subsurface mappingConduct seismic risk assessments, geological hazard assessments and quality controlReport findings and recommendations to clients and other stakeholdersProvide project management and client meeting supportComply with safety rules, regulations, guidelines and standardsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering geology, or equivalent5+ years of experience in geology, engineering geology, environmental geology, hydrology, or related fieldCertified Engineering Geologist licensing in the state or jurisdiction where the project(s) are located (CA preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in the use of industry standard software programsStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to work independently or as part of a teamBenefitsCompetitive compensation packageMedical, dental, vision, life insurance401(k) planPaid time off and holidays,Education reimbursement Bonus programsApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
