Summary:
We are looking for an entrepreneurial general manager who can launch a new program of audio content that will be available exclusively in the BOTM app. We are interested particularly in short stories and serialized fiction as well as longer form content, and the works can be either licensed/acquired from third parties or developed/produced in-house. We are looking for a person with an understanding of the audio market, the taste to select or produce hit stories, and the business acumen to build a sizable business. Note, this is an individual contributor position until after program launch we are looking for a hands-on doer
You will:
+ Develop and launch the new initiative by creating a compelling business case and building/executing a detailed product plan
+ Acquire/license or develop/produce high potential content that is aligned with BOTMs target audience
+ Own the launch the program, including collaborating with product, marketing, creative and other groups as appropriate through written specs and briefs
+ Manage the program on an ongoing basis
+ Analyze and report on performance
+ Scale the business to successfully achieve meaningful business impact
What you should have:
+ 5+ years of experience in content development or media, including 3+ years of experience in podcasts or audiobooks
+ Demonstrated history of success in selecting, merchandising, licensing, and/or producing hit audio properties
+ Strong project management skills
+ Entrepreneurial with strong business acumen
+ Familiarity with the BOTM brand and mission
Salary Range: $100,000 - $170,000
