    Description

    Staff Accountant

    Position Overview: Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level Staff Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of accounting experience, with a strong ability to work autonomously, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and contribute to financial analysis and budgeting processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and budget vs. actual reports.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives.
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
    • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
    • Assist with external audit and tax preparation processes, providing necessary documentation and support as requested.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the finance function.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
    • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges and drive process improvements.
