    BACKGROUND: TheInternational Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to theworld's worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild theirlives. At work in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities to restore safety,dignity and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home.

    SCOPEOF WORK: The IRC isseeking a multifaceted Finance Intern to assist the Finance team with paymentprocessing, vendor management, and data entry. This position will be based inthe 38TH street, NY office and will be in office 25 hours a week.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assist finance managers in entry and completion of staff time and effort reporting.
    • Manage ongoing list of vendors and liaison vendor setup with Operations Team
    • Assist finance specialists as required with AP/AR processing
    LEARNINGOBJECTIVES
    • Intern will learn how to effectively manage multiple workflows across Finance & Ops teams.
    • Intern will receive hands on experience with high importance items and deliverables.
    • Intern will have direct communication with both Finance and Program staff and work in a collaborative environment.
    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Applicantsshould be Junior or Senior level Business, Finance, Economics or Accountingmajors who are proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as MicrosoftExcel and able to learn systems quickly. Attention to detail, the ability tomulti-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to thisposition.
