- Provides Emergency Services- assessment of acute crisis problems, risks, functioning & mental status; pre-admission screening; triage; and counseling supports.
- Provides Short-Term Crisis Counseling- in response to assessed acute crisis problems.
- Responsible for coaching, training, and assistance to other Clinicians in service provision of Emergency Services & Short-Term Counseling.
- Oversight of delivered services for regulatory compliance, reimbursement, and quality improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to Emergency Services. To include voluntary and involuntary hospitalization, and short-term counseling.
- Must be able to facilitate clinically appropriate response to persons in acute behavioral health crisis situations.
- Ability to maintain an objective, professional and calm relationship with individuals and groups in a stressful situation
- One year of clinical experience with individuals with serious mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Master's Degree in a human services field required.
- Must hold a valid license from the Board of Counseling ( LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT, or LSATP) required
