    $225,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

    Managing Director - Finance & Accounting Search at StevenDouglas

    StevenDouglas has been retained to identify a proven VP of Accounting/Controller for a rapidly growing company in Jacksonville, FL. We seek a talented, hands-on leader in accounting, management reporting, and strategic finance.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Oversee all operational aspects of the accounting department, including daily and weekly transactions, month-end close process, monthly reconciliations, and accounting projects.

    Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO
    Provide dynamic leadership to the accounting team, fostering an environment of trust and productivity.
    Oversee various audits, including end-of-year external audits, quarterly reviews, and internal audits
    Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
    Manage banking and investor relations
    Payroll oversight
    Coordinate with CPA firm on external tax filings.
    Fulfill any other duties assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor in Accounting or Finance with a CPA license, non-negotiable
    15+ years of accounting experience, 5+ in a leadership capacity
    Demonstrated experience in coaching and training accounting professionals.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong numeracy and analytical abilities, with proficient knowledge of Excel.
    Effective problem-solving and time management capabilities.
    Highly organized and detail-oriented.
